The Dawn of Justice.

Batman v Superman

The franchise is back and it's bigger than ever, it has the best of both worlds, superman and batman both heroes working against each other, which to a fan is very intriguing. Since if you're a fan of batman you'll be cheering him on and wearing bat masks and shirts, and if you're a fan of superman you'll be wearing your super "S" t-shirt to the movie theaters all blue and red and proud.

The thing is, what if I am a fan of both? What am I supposed to expect a battle between my two favorite super heroes? And even if I accept them fighting, what could they possibly fight each other over..when they're both heroes not villains and they both care for the people of their cities and would give their lives for. These are the questions that I entered the movie with, wanting to know what could possibly turn them against each other.

The movie is a hit for 2016 it topped the box office for weeks, and even though I hadn't had the chance to watch it the day it was released on March 25th, but last week I had the chance to go watch and I couldn't miss it. It's an incredible movie from the plot, to the effects, and it definitely takes you back to the beginning of it all and how they both came to be who they are today. However, I had a higher expectation for it, it didn't fail me that much, since I obviously enjoyed watching it in 3D, yet it wasn't as remarkable as it was meant to be, superhero movies usually have this effect and power that grabs the audience, this one well didn't have much of that attraction to it, it's mostly two super hero movies mashed into one, it was missing a third element.

Yet, even though it was missing an element, DC made something wonderful in the movie for their fans they introduced two new heroes/ heroine. They showed us wonder woman and her powers, she was there throughout the movie hiding and being suspicious, running around everywhere. In addition to wonder woman they gave us a glimpse of Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa who is set to appear in Justice League Part One, which is directed by Zack Snyder on November 17, 2017, followed by his own movie on July 27, 2018. While wonder woman which is played by Gal Gadot gets her own movie release in 2017 on June 2nd. Gal actually when she was auditioning for the movie, she wasn't clued in what her part was, she thought she'd be playing catwoman "Selena Kyle", until she flew in to test with Ben Affleck. Speaking of Affleck I think he did a good enough job not to mess up batman, he was okay. Unlike Henry Cavill, who fits the role of superman like a glove. He's just the perfect superman.

Last but not least, I think any DC comics fan or superhero fan would enjoy it, it's a good movie full of surprises and more characters than you think are involved. And for those people who aren't into superhero movies, well a movie is not a movie without drama and action and no one says no to that, and of course a little bit of romance too.
