First of all, how does this movie top ratings and romantic
movie lists, I couldn’t feel anything while watching it, and I usually get
moved easily.
It was on my “to watch list”, since before it was released, yet
I took time to watch it and now I know why. Because, it’s not worth it.
Sometimes you just have a previous hunch that you don’t know about, and then
you find out and you’re like huh, I knew it.
This movie is just like that, the perfect actors, the
perfect acting and everything is superb, but where is the story, where is the
plot, where is the ending, I’m not satisfied, I’m not happy, I’m just like
hello, what were you thinking when you made that movie James Ponsoldt, that’s
the name of the director by the way. I bet that’s why he’s unknown, because his
movies suck.
Sometimes the story needs to be as powerful as the tools you’re
using, you have a great couple with an amazing chemistry and talent why not use
that to your advantage?
This movie is just a waste of time from my perspective, I can’t
watch it again. I really can’t put my hands on what went wrong, but since it’s
supposedly adapted from a book of the same writer as “500 days of summer”, making
me guess the mentality of the writer, however what I don’t get is why the movie
is not good?
I wasn’t motivated, and at times I need to confess that I was
bored. Maybe to others it’s a hit and a great story but to me it was a miss.
The only thing I got out of it is how dedicated the actors
are, and the only thing that intrigued me was the scars on the lead actor Miles
Teller. This caused me to go google him and find out how he got his scars,
which made me end up reading articles about him and finding out he was in a car
accident and almost died, which is a horrifying experience and to have the
scares to always remind him what he almost went through is terrifying.
Therefore, you should definitely check out his movies, because he’s really good
and so is Shailene Woodley.
